Aim Offset & Turn in Place

Aim Offset & Turn in Place

The character's head and shoulders naturally align with the direction you're viewing, creating a more immersive and lifelike experience. This seamless responsiveness ensures that as you change your gaze, the character intuitively alters their posture to match, maintaining a coherent and engaging visual interaction.

Crouching

Crouching

Press the C key on your keyboard to crouch. This action allows your character to move through spaces that have low clearance or can serve as a means to navigate stealthily without being easily detected by adversaries in the environment.

Sliding Mechanic

Sliding

Slide while sprinting to smoothly transition between movement states. When the player is sprinting and presses the crouch key C, the character will enter a sliding animation, maintaining momentum for a short burst of speed. This mechanic adds fluidity to movement, is perfect for fast-paced gameplay, and helps navigate tight corners or avoid danger. The duration and speed of the slide can be customized in the Blueprint settings.

Land Animation

Land Aniimation

When the player lands after a jump or fall from a significant height, a smooth landing animation is triggered to emphasize impact and weight. This subtle but effective detail adds realism to movement and enhances player immersion. The system can distinguish between soft and hard landings, allowing for different animations based on fall velocity. You can easily adjust thresholds and animation timing in the Blueprint settings.

Leaning Mechanic

Leaning Mechanic

Lean left or right using the Q and E keys to peek around corners without exposing your full body. This mechanic is especially useful in tactical or stealth gameplay, where maintaining cover is crucial. The leaning system smoothly shifts the camera and upper body while keeping the lower body in place, creating a natural and immersive movement. It also works seamlessly with the Aim Offset and Turn In Place systems for a cohesive first-person experience.
